Colgate guard Nelly Cummings has heard from some of the biggest names in college hoops

On Monday, Nelly Cummings, an All-Patriot League guard this season who helped Colgate to the NCAA Tournament entered the transfer portal. And by Tuesday he had already heard from some of the biggest names in college hoops.

According to ESPN's Jeff Borzello, among the schools that have reached out to Cummings include Oklahoma, Minnesota, Clemson, Arkansas, Pitt, Florida, Vanderbilt, Georgia Tech, Stanford, VCU, Washington, Temple, NC State, Wichita State and others.

This season, Cummings averaged 14.7 points and 3.4 assists, while shooting 36 percent from behind the three-point arc. That included a 20-point performance in a loss to Wisconsin in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament. In the process he earned All-Patriot League first team honors this year, after earning second team honors in 2021.

As a grad transfer, he will be immediately eligible with one season remaining.
