The long, winding career of Vance Jackson appears to have found its final landing spot, as on Monday, the former Arkansas Razorback committed to play his extra year of college eligibility at East Carolina.
Jackson's career started with promise way back during the 2016-2017 season at UConn, where he averaged eight points per game as a freshman under Kevin Ollie. After three seasons at New Mexico (including in 2018-2019 when he averaged 13 points per game) Jackson transferred to Arkansas, where he averaged 3.8 points per game on last year's Elite Eight squad.
Now he will wrap his career where it started, in the AAC, where he should help fill the void left by Jayden Gardner, a former All-AAC forward who transferred to Virginia in the off-season.
