Former Big Ten 6th Man of the Year and Top 40 Recruit, enters portal

St. John's Guard Andre Curbelo has entered the the Transfer Portal. The 6'1" Guard from Vega Baja, Puerto Rico, averaged 9.6 points and 4.3 assists per game this season for St. John's. Curbelo started his career at Illinois, and had a breakout Freshman season for the Illini, in 2021. During that season, Curbelo won the Big Ten Sixth Man of the Year award, for an Illinois team that earned a #1 seed in the NCAA Tournament and won the Big Ten Tournament. Curbelo is the 7th St. John's player to enter the portal this offseason.
