We officially know when former McDonald's All-American Nimari Burnett will announce his new school. On Sunday, Burnett told StockRiser's Jake Weingarten that he will pick his new college home on Thursday, April 8th and will choose from one of the following schools: Illinois, USC, Vanderbilt, Oregon, Alabama, LSU, and Auburn.
The 6'4 Burnett arrived at Tech with much hype as the first McDonald's All-American to ever sign with the school, but never could find a role for Chris Beard. He averaged just 5.3 points and 1.9 rebounds per game in one semester before electing to leave.
While there is no known "favorite" for Burnett's commitment this time around, it should be noted that Alabama finished No. 2 in his recruitment coming out of high school.
