Terrence Shannon, a 6'6 wing who spent the last three years at Texas Tech has made his transfer decision: The Chicago native will continue his career at Illinois.
Shannon was a 13-point a game scorer at Tech two seasons ago, and seriously considered entering the draft. Instead he returned and battled injuries, seeing his numbers dip a bit. Still, he averaged double figures and shot 38 percent from three this year, and still has big NBA upside.
He should now be a key cog for a quickly rebuilding Illinois team that also added five-star guard Skyy Clark out of high school this spring.
