Kowacie Reeves, a former Top 50 recruit who played the last two years at Florida, has decided to transfer. The news was first reported by 247 Sports' Travis Branham.
Reeves entered college basketball with quite a bit of hype as part of Mike White's final class in Gainesville, but struggled to gain traction in his two years on campus. In Year 1 under new head coach Todd Golden, Reeves averaged 8.5 points and 2.6 rebounds this season.
While Reeves has work to do (he was just a 26 percent three-point shooter) he still has athleticism and pedigree that should make him a priority for high major schools.
