Former Top 50 recruit Jaeymn Brakefield announces he will leave Duke

Jaemyn Brakefield, a former Top 50 recruit announced on Wednesday that he will leave Duke after one season at the school. The 6'8 wing who is originally from Jackson, Mississippi, Brakefield never could carve out a role for the Blue Devils early this season, but got additional playing time when Jalen Johnson left the program with three weeks left. He averaged 3.5 points and 2.5 rebounds per game this season, but despite those numbers, should have no shortage of high-major suitors. He took official visits to Auburn and Louisville prior to committing to Duke, and had also planned to visit Michigan and Ole Miss as well.
