High-scoring guard chooses Texas Tech

It was a great day to be new Texas Tech coach Mark Adams, as high-scoring former Hampton guard Davion Warren committed to the Red Raiders on Friday.

Warren is a 6'6 guard who was one of the Big South's top players this season averaging 21.2 points per game. And after entering the transfer portal earlier this summer actually committed to Memphis, before de-committing after the Tigers took several additional players in recent weeks.

He will bring immediate scoring punch to a Red Raider roster that has already lost the likes of Kyler Edwards, Micah Peavy and others to transfer, with Mac McClung and TJ Shannon both currently testing the NBA Draft waters.
