Kansas picks up a monster commitment in the portal

Kansas picks up a monster commitment in the portal, as guard Zeke Mayo announced he will be transferring to play for the Jayhawks next year.

Put simply, Mayo was one of the best players available in the portal, as a 6'3 guard, who averaged 18.8 ppg, 5.7 rebounds and nearly four assists per game this year, earning Summit League Player of the Year at South Dakota State. He is originally from Kansas, so when he entered the portal, the presumption was that the Jayhawks were always the favorite.

Mayo joins former Florida guard Riley Kugel as players who have committed to the Jayhawks in recent days, with Kugel committing on Easter Sunday.

Mayo will have one year of eligibility left.
