Marcus Carr - arguably the best player in the portal - has made a decision on next season

Following the regular season Minnesota star Marcus Carr both entered the transfer portal and the NBA Draft to keep his options - and since then has been widely considered to be the best player available via the transfer market.

And on Monday he made a final decision about his future: Carr announced that he will end his college career and stay in the NBA Draft.

While this is disappointing for college basketball fans this news is admittedly not all that surprising. Carr has been in college for five years (two at Pitt, a redshirt season, and two at Minnesota) and will turn 22-years-old in early June, so the possibility of him going - and staying pro - was always realistic. He finished his final year of college hoops earning second team All-Big Ten honors in the 2020-2021 season.
