One of the best guards in the Big Ten has decided to transfer

Updated: Mar 18, 2024

One of the best guards in the Big Ten has decided to transfer as Michigan's Dug McDaniel will enter the portal.

The news was first reported by On3's Jamie Shaw.

McDaniel is a second year guard who averaged 14.3 points and 4.7 assists per game, for the Wolverines. Now with Juwan Howard out, he will look at other options.

It's worth noting that academic issues limited McDaniel late in the season, with Michigan not allowing him to travel to road games, to focus on acadmeic work.
