One of the most productive point guards in college basketball hits the portal

Ta'lon Cooper, one of the most productive point guards in college basketball this season at Minnesota, has decided to enter the transfer portal, while also evaluating his professional options.

The news was first reported by 247 Sports' Travis Branham.

Cooper arrived at Minnesota this season after playing at Morehead State, and quickly emerged into one of the Big Ten's better guards. He averaged 9.8 points, four-rebounds and 6.3 assists this season.

His 6.3 assists a game ranked No. 2 overall in the Big Ten and was previously an All-OVC First Team member while at Morehead State.
