Purdue isn't always the most active transfer portal team, but they were on Saturday, as former Southern Illinois guard Lance Jones committed to the Boilermakers.
Jones adds some much needed size and athleticism to the Boilermakers' backcourt, averaging 13.8 points per game this season, after averaging nearly 15 points per game a season ago.
He will likely take over the role of bench scorer for the departed David Jenkins, the only Purdue player who ran out of eligibility after this past season.
