Temple star Khalif Battle is in the portal

A very interesting name entered the transfer portal on Tuesday, as former Temple guard Khalif Battle has elected to transfer just one day after head coach Aaron McKie resigned.

The news was first reported by Stadium's Jeff Goodman.

Battle was the Owls' best player this season, averaging 17.9 points per game, before electing to leave the program in mid-February and did not return. He was also the AAC's leading scorer in 2021-2022, averaging 21.4 points per game.

Battle originally committed to Butler out of high school and played one year in Indianapolis before moving onto the Big East, and immediately becomes one of the most coveted players available in the portal.
