On the same day that Rick Pitino officially became the head coach of St. John's basketball, two of his best players elected to transfer.
On Tuesday, William Clayton Jr. and Junior Joseph Kelly both elected to look at other schools.
Clayton was the Gaels leading scorer at 16.8 points per game on over 43 percent shooting from three, while Junior Joseph is a 6'9 forward who led the team in rebounds at 9.3 per game, while also averaging over 14 points per game.
Clayton recently finished his sophomore season, while Junior Joseph completed his junior year.
