West Virginia sharpshooter Sean McNeil is now in the transfer portal

One of the best shooters in high major basketball the last few seasons is now in the transfer portal, as Sean McNeil has decided to leave West Virginia. The news was first reported by 247 Sports Travis Branham.

A 6'3 senior originally from Kentucky, McNeil has spent the last two seasons lighting the nets on fire in Morgantown. He averaged 12.2 points per game in each of the last two seasons, shooting 36 percent from behind the arc this season. That's actually down from 38 percent during the 2020-2021 season.

McNeil has one season of eligibility remaining.
